Curious George

Thanksgiving weekend we took Kraig to see Curious George. (Once again, courtesy of my dad's employment at the PBS television station.)  He LOVED it...we got better seats than we've had in the past for Sesame Street Live, so I think that helped alot. Here are some pics of the show....

Here is the set before the show began....

The story started with a package being delivered...

The chef of the restaurant made some spaghetti....

An inventor brings a  machine that makes meatballs in half the time it takes to make them by hand...

Which causes business at the restaurant to decline...so in an effort to help, George sends himself to Italy to find a way to bring the Chef's desire back.

The man in the yellow hat and the other characters figure out where George went and go to find him...

I really liked these scenes....the cars had two sides...so as they went around we saw one side (as in the blue car above), and as they got to the curtain, another person picked up the car and you saw the other side (as in the red car above in the background) but you never saw any part of the person except what is in the window.

George had taken a plate of spaghetti with him to enter the chef in the Golden Meatball contest.  What he didn't know was that the spaghetti had to be prepared during the contest.

For reasons I have since forgotten, the chef could not enter the contest, so George had to prepare the spaghetti.

He was quite concerned that he didn't know the "secret" ingredient.  (I just love the plates of spaghetti....!)

But...he had the secret ingredient all along...it was LOVE, and he won the contest.

It was a really really cute story....kind of like an opera for kids!  Here is Kraig watching it...other than constantly asking when the lights would be on, he really seemed to enjoy it.  He chose the binoculars from the souvenir stand.

And of course, my picture with my little man.

And Kraig's picture with "Curious George".
