Well, I should have known I wouldn't be able to keep up....I can't even keep up with my own journal....anyway.
Chris has his MRI, which was really inconclusive....it showed some arthritis, but not much else. The doctor gave 2 options: shots to cushion the cartilage or surgery to clean up the arthritis and release the lateral ligament. He had a cancellation the next day....so he went to surgery. The arthritis was cleaned up, the ligament was cut, and there were loose pieces of cartilage floating under his kneecap. Aside from the pain of surgery and strengthening it, he is in a lot less pain. He returned to therapy to strengthen his knee and leg muscles....still working on that. He's been off work, but will return this week.
In the meantime, I had carpal tunnel release surgery on my right hand last week. Still have stitches and some soreness, but for the most part have recovered. Post op was a bit more challenging, but not too bad.
We are currently preparing for vacation.....we will be going to visit friends in Washington...I so can't wait!!!
Nina and Christopher are offiicially out of school for the summer...Nina is a SENIOR (yikes!) and Christopher is in the 7th grade now.
Kraig attended speech for a few weeks....mostly to get him acclimated for preschool next year (hopefully anyway). Even if he doesn't qualify for the special needs preschool (I suspect he will) or if the funding doesn't come through for the preschool, he will still be eligible for speech....so he'll still go.
