Camp Good Grief Reunion

We spent yesterday afternoon at the Memphis Zoo. In 2005, Christopher attended a day camp offered by Baptist Trinity Hospice and Home Care, Camp Good Grief. In the fall, Kyrstyna attended a weekend camp offered by the same, Teen Camp Good Grief. The camps are for children and teens who have had a family member die. (There is also an adult camp that Chris and I hope to attend next spring.) This year is the 10 year anniversary of the first camp....and they held a reunion at the Zoo. It was nice...they had speakers, a candle ceremony, and of course food. Nina and I both signed up to volunteer. After the program, we walked through the zoo...but many of the animals were sleeping or just not out.
