Celebration Time

Chris got a new job....! He applied in March with Northwest Airlines and he F-I-N-A-L-L-Y had an interview on Tuesday....and was offered the job right then! He will be a baggage handler, with hopes to move up. It's a career change...and he is really looking forward to it! Free flights are a nice perk too! He starts the 25th.

I got contacts on Tuesday....first time ever. It's been a learning experience.....taking them out is OK...putting them in....something else entirely! I'm getting better, though!

In June, my boss's son was diagnosed with leukemia (ALL T-cell type). He began treatment immediately, and today, almost exactly 2 months later received the glorious news that he is in remission! I could not be happier for them! His son is just 5 months older than my daughter....

Much to our surprise, Kraig really enjoys playing in the sand at the park, so we bought some sand and filled one of his kiddie pools so we don't have to go to the playground every night. Who'd have thought....little mister OCD would actually sit in the sand.

This is Zeus...our 2 yr old yellow lab. He has been in the house since July 8 as he had heartworm treatment, and must not get excited. He's done pretty well, except for when he gets bored...he's eaten Kyrstyna's phone and her iPod. A few "accidents" in the house when we don't acknowledge that he needs to go out, but otherwise not bad. He leaves the cats alone, and pretty much lounges on the living room floor.

Texas Trip

Some pictures from our trip to Texas. Although the reason for our trip was not a joyful one, we did enjoy visiting with family.


We took Kraig and Trey to one of the sprinkler parks--this one is near the school that Kyrstyna and Christopher attended. Trey moved to fast for me to get a picture of him.



After the sprinkler park, we went to the pool at Tabby's hotel. Kraig looks like he's lounging, but he was actually stalling.....it was time to leave.
