I'm going to try this public blogging....not sure how I'll like it, but I'll try. It'll be good for communicating with family, I suppose.
So...I guess I'll start with a family snapshot (in order of age, except for me--I'll go last):
Dad--aka Alan to some: currently works part time at the PBS tv station in Memphis. He is still very involved with genealogy work.
Mom--aka Debbie: is a stay at home grandma. She keeps Kraig at home, and is here when Nina and Christopher get home from school. She does the typical homemaker things--laundry, cooking, cleaning etc. She does not have a calling yet, other than visit teaching, but goes to class with Kraig.
Chris: works at a psych facility in Mississippi, on the adolescent unit. He likes it well enough, but is looking for something else to do...another line of work. He has injured his knee and is currently attending physical therapy--hoping to NOT need surgery.
Me: see end of list
Nina: is a junior this year, and already has senioritis! She does not yet have a calling at church either, but it is a new ward, and callings have been slow in coming. She's doing well in school, as always.
Christopher: is in 6th grade and is obsessed with basketball....you name it, he knows the stats for it!! School doesn't come as easily for him, and we are making some changes to help him succeed.
Kraig: what can I say? every day he gives me a reason to smile, and in the next second reasons to pull my hair out! He is a walking talking miracle. 3 years old and a bundle of energy I can't keep up with. He is very hesitant with new people, but is very comfortable once he knows you. It just takes a very long time.
Michelle (me): I am still working at the hospital that we moved here for. I do a different job now, but I am still very happy there. I am also the RS secretary...I love my calling. We moved to this ward in November, and it was split in February....so I am still learning who everyone is.
I also have a scrapbooking for other business, Memories by Michelle, that I am trying to get started. I have my first consultation with a prospective client tomorrow night....And of course I still have my March for Babies team....The Twin K's. I am also working on a couple of other initiatives that are very important to me....stillbirth awareness and birth certificates for still born babies, and TTTS awareness via the Fetal Hope Foundation and supporting a bill to legislate for routine, regular ultrasounds for identical twin pregnancies.
